PLEASE COME IN FOR PARENT PEDAGOGY WEEK!

Dear Kindergator Parents,

We are excited to announce our

Parental Pedagogy Week,
coming the week of May 13-17.
We would like to invite our parents to come in to class and teach something unique and personal to our students.

This can involve career related lessons, cultural tradition lessons, science projects, cooking lessons, art lessons or anything you think the students might enjoy. Hands-on lessons and projects are usually the most interesting, but sharing a special family story can be a wonderful experience too. This is a chance to promote the importance of education, have some fun, expand our curriculum, and show the students that everyone has something special to contribute! We welcome your ideas and can even help with some planning or materials if you need us.

Here are some examples from previous years that the children seemed to enjoy, if you need some inspiration:
Puppet Making, What Doctors Do, Learning Spanish, Making Mud Pudding, How to Play Baseball, What Facial Expressions Tell Us, Watercolors, Cursive Handwriting, and Theatrical Storytelling

Below you will find a schedule of times available that week. If you wish to participate, please email us what date and time you prefer and a generalized idea of what you will be teaching or presenting. This is always a fun and powerful week of learning, so we hope you can make time to be our next teacher.

Thanks as always,
J. Powers
