Hello again Kindergator Parents! I am watching the tiny snowflakes fall and picturing the kiddos outside, mouths open, catching them on their tongues. Hmmm…now I am picturing us grown up doing it too! Here’s what we worked on while we weren’t obsessing about snow this week. Reading: We continued working on “2 vowels go walking” tricks in all our reading groups. In some of our groups we have moved on to “putting all the tricks together” and you will notice lots of color coding on the books they bring home as we highlight the different tricks we notice. A few of our groups are now focusing much more on comprehension strategies. Our goal is to help them stop and think about what they read after they have learned to sound out all the words. We also want them to start asking questions after they realize they do not understand a part.
