Kindergator Update 10.4.19 and Pumpkin Request

Kindergator Update 10.4.19 We had a fun STEM day today and I will post lots of pictures on the BLOG this weekend for you to see the great work your child did to create a brand new roller coaster! Reading: We are working hard on “how to retell a story” starting with characters and setting then moving on to the conflict and resolution. We are continuing with blending sounds and introduced the “trick” of letters that work together to make a sound in some of our groups this week with the sw, sc, and st sounds. We did all this during out unit on pumpkins! Math :   We are into 3d shapes like cone, cylinder, cube and sphere. Just pronouncing the word sphere is funny for many kids. We have shifted our vocabulary to edges, faces and vertices as we describe these shapes and we even used them in our roller coasters today to see which shapes move best. The winner was sphere by the way. Writing: We are working on adding descriptive color words to writing like “a basketball orange
