Kindergator Update
This week we focused heavily on routines and rules. I told the class today they were the best behaved class in Mrs. Hallmark and Mr. Cohen's assembly today, the best class we have ever had lining up quickly from recess and the best class at trying without crying. What a great beginning! We set a goal for improved hallway walking and less shouting out for next week.
Today we chose our class jobs. We have first responders, class photographers, artists, messengers, greeters and lots more. Ask your child what job they have, and what questions they asked to be sure they knew how to do their job.
We did not send towels home today. Most students haven't chosen rest time so they haven't used them much or at all.
Next week we begin full content and a regular schedule. They will be tired after a full day of learning and content for sure!
Thank you to:
Sarah Kate, who was so brave walking places on her own and cheering herself on when she got there.
Pennelope, who asks great questions and tackles all tough challenges with a smile.
Harper H., who reminds us when she has work to finish.
Zeb and Grant, who have become fast besties.
Harper J., who wins the best hugger award.
Jackson, who offered to share his pepperoni with me.
Elle, who does amazing artwork and told us she decided not to cry when she hurt her finger.
Reese, who shared her love of things that light up with us and was brave enough to wear a cat dress even though Mrs. Powers prefers dogs.
Olivia, Rayell and Jaleigh, who kept us on our toes with first week birthdays.
Aspen, who made one our class rules, "To always be loving and kind."
Landon, who always helps clean up without being asked (and then reminds us that he helped clean up and no one even asked him to!) 😁
Ava, who is so on the ball she could run our classroom already if us teachers took a day off.
Arnold, who has one of the greatest smiles of all time and loves to share stories.
Gustavo, who created amazing super hero artwork for us during creative time.
and finally to you parents for fastest turn around and completion of paperwork and for sending us such wonderful children!!!
Have a great weekend!
